Chima Designs creates bold, imaginative accessories that allow people to interact with their mobile devices in unexpected and innovative ways. Quality craftsmanship and helping people to live their lives better through engagement with our products are our goals.
Chima Designs began with a simple concept – to create innovative designs and quality products that unleash new possibilities to change how people interact with technology.
From his sales position in The Mac Store, 24-year-old Seattle native Udoka Chima is in tune with how customers use their Apple products. Leading up to the release of the iPad, Chima began to brainstorm possible uses for the iPad. Utilizing his degree in Cultural Anthropology, he noticed that the only cases available had conventional designs and features that did not encourage new iPad functionality.
What stood out to Chima was the iPad’s ability to replace car and plane entertainment systems. Hence, the inception of The Crucial Case, a brilliant yet simple-to-use case that transforms the iPad into a mobile entertainment system.
With the little money he had, Chima invested in creating a prototype of his concept. Perfection became an obsession and 15 prototypes later, The Crucial Case took shape.
Chima seeks to establish a company that produces thoughtful products that are built to last. He cannot wait to produce his LONG list of innovative, technology accessory ideas, as he had so much fun obsessing over the details of design, color, and function of The Crucial Case. With focus on smart design, quality materials and local manufacturing, Chima knows that The Crucial Case is just the tip of the iceberg. Stay tuned and be ready!
